Growing Up by the Sport: what the first Sundays looked like
Our Growing Up by the Sport community program has begun, and the first sessions are behind us.

They run on Sunday afternoons, outdoors, in ordinary community space — children, parents and coaches in the same field. Volleyball, soccer, wushu and taiji flowball, which between them cover coordination, confidence, focus and the business of working with other people. The point is less that a child gets good at one of them and more that they find out movement is enjoyable.

What we keep photographing is not the technique. It is a child trying something for the first time, a family laughing at the edge of the grass, a coach explaining the same thing patiently for the fourth time. Not perfection and not pressure — progress, participation, and belonging.

This is the beginning of it. There are more Sundays to come.
