Gao Jun is one of the most decorated table tennis players ever to represent the United States.

Born in Baoding, Hebei, China, in 1969, she won Olympic silver in women's doubles with Chen Zihe at the 1992 Barcelona Games — the first of her four Olympic appearances.

After making the United States her home she dominated American table tennis, winning six Pan American Games gold medals between 1999 and 2007, nine US singles titles, eleven doubles titles and eight mixed doubles titles. Today she owns and coaches at California Table Tennis in Rosemead, in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley.
