For insurers and agents
The IYSDF seal says one thing: on a stated date, two reviewers read this program's documents and visited it, and it met a published standard. Every accredited program has a public record page with the visit date, the reviewer type, the expiry date, and its current status.
What we verify. The eleven requirements in the standard: screening of every adult with access to children, a written abuse-prevention policy and training, the two-adult rule, liability insurance with abuse-and-molestation coverage, first aid on site, emergency procedures, incident reporting, an emergency medical form, a concussion protocol, a cardiac protocol, and legal registration. Six of the eleven are California law.
What we do not promise. The seal is not a guarantee of safety, of future compliance, or of any outcome. It reflects the day we checked. It expires after one year and can be revoked; revocations appear on the record page the same week.
How a carrier or broker can work with us. Recognize the seal in your own underwriting questions. Refer programs to the free readiness kit, which produces the eleven documents an underwriter asks for. Sponsor the review visits. We do not sell insurance, we take no payment tied to any policy, and no insurer has any role in whether a program passes.
How to check any program. Every accredited program's record is public at iysdf.org/accredited. If a program shows you a seal you cannot find there, it is not accredited.
